What a cookie is
A cookie is a short note a browser keeps for a site. This site also uses local storage for your cookie choice, which behaves like a note on the device rather than a file sent on every request.
What we actually use
Essential. The site needs to hold together as pages: the public files, the letter form’s trip to /api/mock.json, and the record of whether you pressed Accept or Reject. Without the choice record, the banner would return every visit. Rejecting analytics does not close the journal, the rates, or the form.
Analytics. Only if you Accept. A short first-party note may remember that the visit may be counted in a simple page-use tally. We do not run advertising networks. If you Reject, that tally is not given permission.

No third-party advertising cookies are set by us. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts when the page loads; that request is a connection to Google’s servers, not a cookie we write for ads. If you block that connection, the pages still read, with the browser’s own serif face.
How to choose
The banner offers Accept and Reject with equal weight. Your choice is stored under module-layercore-analytics-cookie-consent. You can clear site data in the browser to see the banner again. You can also block cookies in the browser itself; essential pages remain readable.
Third parties
We do not embed other firms’ share buttons or video players on these pages. If a future edition adds one, this table will name it. Until then, the only optional note is the tally above.
If you disable cookies
The banner may return. The form still sends. Charts in our findings letters are paper in a room; they do not depend on this website’s cookies.
